CMW World (Cwm Fx) - ALAN JONES RECEIVES GREGOR GRANT AWARD

Cwm World - Australian motorsport symbol Alan Jones has gotten the Gregor Grant lifetime accomplishment grant. 

The 1980 F1 best on the planet got the honor at the Autosport Awards held in London on Sunday night. 

In the wake of leaving Australia for Europe in 1967, Jones advanced through Formula 3 in the UK before making his F1 debut at the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix in a Harry Stiller Racing Hesketh. 

Drives with Graham Hill's Embassy supported group and John Surtees' outfit took after before he joined Shadow, which yielded his first terrific prix triumph at the 1977 Austrian Grand Prix. 




Jones put himself on the guide when he collaborated with Williams bringing about a big showdown triumph in 1980. 

He went ahead to score 12 thousand prix triumphs amid his profession and completed third in both the 1979 and 1981 titles. 

CWM WORLD in Award Ceremony Jones resigned from F1 in 1981 yet later showed up with Arrows and Haas squads before leaving on a vocation in sportscars and visiting autos in Australia.
